Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management
OVERVIEW
- • Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction) qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification appropriate for those working as construction site managers in building and civil engineering, highways maintenance and repair, residential development, conservation or demolition.
- • The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
- • Candidates can specialise in several different area of Construction Site Management.
This qualification covers the following areas:
- Building and Civil Engineering
- Highways and Maintenance Repair
- Residential Development
- Conservation
- Demolition
A minimum of 19 units are required to be completed to achieve this qualification of which the following 8 are mandatory for all the pathways:
- Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
- Allocating Work and Checking People’s Performance in the Workplace
- Establishing, Implementing and Maintaining Systems for Managing Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace

- Controlling Project Progress Against Agreed Quality Standards in the Workplace
- Controlling Project Progress Against Agreed Programmes in the Workplace
- Managing Personal Development in a Construction-related Workplace
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- • There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Oshtree will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units.
Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
The qualification will be assessed in line with the Construction Skills Consolidated Assessment Strategy and will be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.
CERTIFICATION
Candidates who achieve the requirements for qualifications will be awarded:
- A certificate listing all units achieved and
- A certificate giving the full qualification title: ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management (Construction)
- Once achieved you can contact CSCS to enquire to apply for a Management CSCS Black Card.
