  • • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Trowel Occupations is a qualification designed to recognise knowledge, skills and competence of operatives who specialise in that particular trade in the construction industry. Appropriately, it is for candidates who have some knowledge and basic skills with a trowel, who were likely to have it gained from working in a role under supervision. This qualification enables learners to gain recognition for their skills and the potential to take on more responsibility in the workplace.
  • •As a work-related, competence-based qualification it will provide, on completion, confirmation to employers, industry managers and card schemes that learners have the skills and knowledge needed to meet the nationally recognised standard to carry out their preferred in the industry.

There are five mandatory units to be completed for this qualification and one optional unit chosen from the list of available units in the optional category.

  • Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
  • Erecting masonry structures in the workplace
  • Setting out masonry structures in the workplace

Candidates who achieve the requirements for qualifications will be awarded:

  • A certificate listing all units achieved, and
  • A certificate giving the full qualification title: ProQual Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations (Construction)
