OVERVIEW
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering qualification is a UK recognised qualification for those working in the construction industry and those who want to specialise in the trade of plastering.
- By joining this course, a candidate will accomplish skills on how to complete a variety of detailed plastering tasks including repair work. The course develops a learner’s ability on interpreting information by working out on materials required and costings for a variety of projects.
- As a trained plasterer, one could work on city development projects, domestic extensions and conservatories or repairs. One could earn the security of regular site work or possibly establish your own business.
- The awarding organisation for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The specification for this qualification is approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use by centres in Northern Ireland
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Oshtree will carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

The number of units to be completed varies by pathways but all the pathways consist of the following mandatory units in addition to the pathway’s specific units:
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
- Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
Candidates who achieve the requirements for qualifications will be awarded:
- A certificate listing all units achieved, and
- A certificate giving the full qualification title:
